MindTools Consulting

     Every student from grades five through twelve was required to buy a Toshiba laptop, and all teachers, regardless of their grade level were equipped with a school-owned laptop.  Everyone was connected to the school's network with personal email accounts and everyone had access to the Internet.  The program is now implemented with Toshiba tablets and wireless access to email and the Internet.

     Our belief has been that technology's power for learning needs to be put in the smallest hands that can manage it, and that it must serve the dictum that effective learning must be active.

The Consulting Business

Joe Hofmeister retired from Cincinnati Country Day in June of 2007 and started his own consulting company, MindTools Consulting. 

Recent Events

During the 2006-2007 school year, Joe Hofmeister did consults for five schools: The Lawrenceville School (NJ), The Christ Church Episcopal School (NC),The Park Tudor School (IN), The Hyde Park Day School (IL), and The Frances Parker School (IL).

More recently, in April of 2008, he did keynote addresses in New Jersey and Minneapolis.
